Nothing starts the
heart pumping like those three little words: "THERE'S A
BEAR" .Especially when he's coming in for an easy meal and you're
it. That's one of the thrills of calling for bears. Many hunters sit in a
tree stand over a bait pile and wait for a bear to show up. Not very
exciting.
When we
are calling, we find fresh sign and we are the bait. Black bears respond
well to calling and our methods produce some exciting hunts. We call for
everything we hunt. Predator calling is probably the fastest growing
type of hunting in North America. Calling bears fits right in. Whether
you want to hunt with a bow, rifle or camera, we can call them in.
The
areas we call have some large bears and about 30% color phase. The
numbers are good and each hunter is allowed 2 bears.
We
hunt bears in spring or fall. Fall hunts can be combined with moose.
